Phew!!! What a time warp lately! Or the murky Neptunian, multidimensional movement through this Earthly plane! I cannot believe we are here in May. Let us take a recap at the world since the Gregorian year began. The Aquarian energy that began with the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction on December 20, 2021 sparked a new cycle in all our lives. Where Aquarius lies in your chart, you would notice the difference. The eclectic Aquarian energy amplified with Mercury retrograde. Mars finally moved into Taurus after having been in Aries since June 28, 2020. Taurus expressing its essence of earth, foundation, sensuality, connecting with nature, lazy comforts, money, joined Uranus to spark some crazy ass shocking events and more of a “revolution is on the way” feeling. The end of January, the intensity taking a different approach as Jupiter and Uranus squared on January 20th, leading us up to the Saturn-Uranus square, a whole other entity on its own, building its power until their explosive conjunction on February 17th.
Depending on what house Aquarius and Taurus rule in your chart, where your Saturn and Uranus are, and their relationship will affect how shockingly “bam bam” this energy can be. Yes, double whammies consistently shocking your core to the soul, or making you laugh, hard, because any other choice is not optional at this point, for your own damn sanity. That energy followed into March, which was a little easier to float through, perhaps life did not slow down, but was in the moment of transition in reaction to changes that suddenly surfaced. The presence of Neptune offered healing and compassion, and perhaps a bit of deception as well. Sometimes dissolving the boundaries represents seeing the underlying truth of those things we idolize, we have set high standards upon, or that we have let ourselves being controlled by. With that knowledge, we entered the season of Spring in the Northern hemisphere, the Spring Equinox. Most of us ready to leap into action, looking forward to new beginnings, the idea of self, of your authentic identity being expressed. Chiron’s presence in Aries adds the element of healing in a more direct and impulsive energy. His conjunction to the Sun and Venus on the day of the Full Moon nudging ever so directly long-unresolved issues. April seemed to be a busy month full of planning, contemplation, inspiration, healing, and lots of learning, not to mention that pressing need to get the show on the road. All details of devising a plan to implement into the Taurus season. The middle of April may have led to some unfiltered and aggressive power plays with the Sun conjunct Mercury squaring Pluto. Mars moved into Cancer the day Saturn turned a retrograde, a perfect recipe for bringing emotions to the surface and reacting with compassion in a place of light, defense in the place of fear, and Pluto stationed retrograde the day after our Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon, asking us to shapeshift ourselves as Griffins.

On April 26, 2021 in the Americas at 11:32 p.m., the Scorpio Moon and Taurus Sun meet up for their annual dance, inviting Saturn as the apex of Fixed T Square. What a Full Moon this will be! I envisioned a Griffon when I saw this chart. A chimeric, mythical animal, both lion and eagle. In Shamanism, the lion symbolizes courage and the eagle, oneness with God, the Great Spirit. The Griffin steps forward now, asking, for us to step forward and have the courage to awaken and purge, so that we may have a clear path to build what is ahead us. As my Gemini Moon-Jupiter conjunction calls for tons of information, I pulled a card to represent the Full Moon as well. I had to raise my head and Thank the Universe. I get all excited with butterflies in my belly. I used Sharon Anne Klinger and Sandra Taylor’s The Akashic Tarot, for this reading. The Queen of Forces was pulled. A woman standing with an even balance of the Sun and the Moon behind, on a riverbed with mountains in the background. See, I would totally hug the Universe. This card represents the power that only you must balance and direct the energy of your life. This is a card representing a great phase of power, in which the ability to be able to release is just as important as it is to build, and there will be many opportunities under the influence of Aquarius and Taurus. April 11th at 10:31 p.m. sets a double beginning, an Aries New Moon to spring us into action and work on ourselves. At 22°, the Sun and the Moon merge, Mercury behind the Sun in a wide orb, Venus ahead of the Moon at 26°, creating an extremely focused stellium at the apex of a minor grand triangle. Chiron is tailing behind Mercury at 9°, intent on healing wounds that will rise to the surface.
A minor grand triangle already carries a lot ambitious, courageous, creative, intellectual, and perceptive energy, perception being a key component in energy, that is amplified with Chiron in the mix, all beaming a sextile to stellium in Aries, as both Mars in Gemini completes a trine to Jupiter, a plethora of Aquarian energy, innovation and intellectualism, and Jupiter dancing his vibes back to the Aries stellium. That is a whole lot of hot air and fire to start off, emotional, impulsive, inspirational, full of fire, full of love, full of purpose, and full of flow to let all forms of communication just rush from the moment a thought is thought. If that is just what some of us DID NOT NEED (umm hmm 😉), deep shit from the past will erupt with quite the trickster action, shapeshifting in many forms. We have been in this spot before, somewhere, somewhere, tap into the feeling you get. This is the South Node in Sagittarius, our old belief systems, wherever that theme may be, making a semisquare to Pluto in Capricorn, who is in love with bringing up the deepest of the deep, and he is only getting stronger as he prepares to station for his retrograde on April 27th. How we choose to respond and let things flow, or not, will be muy importante´, as it always is, but you know, New Moon Power…... Having a very grounding, physical outlet; some form of movement, exercise, sex (hello, yes, awesome sex drive!), yoga, hop on your bike and let the wind caress your face. With Mars in Gemini, shifting from one task is right up his alley, her alley, whatever side Mars will get action. Mars is square Neptune in Pisces, which may confuse things, adding a bit of fuzziness. Neptune has dissolving energy, which means boundaries can be broken if necessary, but boundaries can be overstepped as well. Be careful thinking thoughts which are not true, or memories that no longer serve you. Deceit and illusions can also be associated with Neptune. With Neptune quintile the Sun and Moon, that energy can be focused whichever way you choose to lean. Mars is full of action, and in Gemini, another mutable sign, Mars, and Neptune can shapeshift quite well. The North Node, our lessons yet to be learned, is cohabitating with Mars, adding fuel to the fire of motivating factors favoring growth on all spectrums, including the square between Saturn and Uranus. Both on a journey for the same result, Saturn full of ambition and determined to be disciplined, Uranus full of ambition and determined to shock the shit of everyone. This New Moon in Aries is about breaking through barriers and having the courage to follow your intuition through discipline, purging and releasing that which no longer serves you. Take some time, an hour. Light some red candles, turn on some soothing music, grab a glass of wine and your journal and go for it. Take that well-deserved time for self-care and your New Moon intentions, after all, Aries is about the self. We can not do anything for anyone else if our reserves are running on empty. How the New Moon affects you personally is a whole other story, I will not lie. While all life is about spiritual growth, we each have a wonderful journey we are on. We may not always feel as if it is the greatest, but hey, there is a balance somewhere.
