May 2021-Setting Your Course

​      Phew!!! What a time warp lately! Or the murky Neptunian, multidimensional movement through this Earthly plane! I cannot believe we are here in May. Let us take a recap at the world since the Gregorian year began. The Aquarian energy that began with the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction on December 20, 2021 sparked a new cycle in all our lives. Where Aquarius lies in your chart, you would notice the difference. The eclectic Aquarian energy amplified with Mercury retrograde.  Mars finally moved into Taurus after having been in Aries since June 28, 2020.  Taurus expressing its essence of earth, foundation, sensuality, connecting with nature, lazy comforts, money, joined Uranus to spark some crazy ass shocking events and more of a “revolution is on the way” feeling. The end of January, the intensity taking a different approach as Jupiter and Uranus squared on January 20th, leading us up to the Saturn-Uranus square, a whole other entity on its own, building its power until their explosive conjunction on February 17th.
    
    Depending on what house Aquarius and Taurus rule in your chart, where your Saturn and Uranus are, and their relationship will affect how shockingly “bam bam” this energy can be. Yes, double whammies consistently shocking your core to the soul, or making you laugh, hard, because any other choice is not optional at this point, for your own damn sanity.
     
      That energy followed into March, which was a little easier to float through, perhaps life did not slow down, but was in the moment of transition in reaction to changes that suddenly surfaced.  The presence of Neptune offered healing and compassion, and perhaps a bit of deception as well. Sometimes dissolving the boundaries represents seeing the underlying truth of those things we idolize, we have set high standards upon, or that we have let ourselves being controlled by. With that knowledge, we entered the season of Spring in the Northern hemisphere, the Spring Equinox. Most of us ready to leap into action, looking forward to new beginnings, the idea of self, of your authentic identity being expressed. Chiron’s presence in Aries adds the element of healing in a more direct and impulsive energy. His conjunction to the Sun and Venus on the day of the Full Moon nudging ever so directly long-unresolved issues.

​     April seemed to be a busy month full of planning, contemplation, inspiration, healing, and lots of learning, not to mention that pressing need to get the show on the road. All details of devising a plan to implement into the Taurus season. The middle of April may have led to some unfiltered and aggressive power plays with the Sun conjunct Mercury squaring Pluto. Mars moved into Cancer the day Saturn turned a retrograde, a perfect recipe for bringing emotions to the surface and reacting with compassion in a place of light, defense in the place of fear, and Pluto stationed retrograde the day after our Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon, asking us to shapeshift ourselves as Griffins.

                             
​ I pulled a card for May, using my deck, The Akashic Tarot and pulled 3 of Scrolls, Setting Your Course. Learning from others, socializing, building relationships, building knowledge, and keeping yourself open to the array of opportunities that will present themselves this month. I pray that most of you are out there living your life to the fullest. Gemini energy offers that lightness, that socialization aspect. Focusing on the opportunities and how much we can learn will help us all, individually, and collectively, feel an ounce of peace.                                                                                                                                                                     
May is not as intense as the last few months. The theme of building your foundation, setting your course, and communicating the needs of that foundation, the energy of Taurus and Gemini merging, the dominant energy, air, mostly in Gemini this month. Gemini energy is curious, exciting, light, social, a shapeshifter. All forms of communication are in the domain of Gemini. This is some great energy to get some speaking or writing projects done, host a party or two, or take some short trips.

     We start off with Mercury moving into Gemini on May 3rd, on May 7th, Mercury will move out of bounds, this energy is erratic, awakening moments, more of a Uranian feel, as if Mercury in Gemini is not erratic enough. Expect a whole lot of unfiltered conversations, with quite a bit of depth and feeling, for Venus will join Mercury in Gemini on May 8th and be out of bounds as of May 23rd.  This adds a whole lot unfiltered, intuitive feelings and thoughts, many lightbulb moments that are reacted on emotionally and much necessary for your evolution. There is a stronger pull of alignment of head and heart.

     On May 10th, the Sun will be conjunct the North Node @ 10°, offering an abundance of confidence in your ability to go in the right direction. Perfect energy the day before the New Moon on May 11th with the Sun and Moon at 21° Taurus. Do not forget your New Moon Wishes centered around Taurus themes, finances, gardening, building structure where Taurus is in your chart, as well as paying attention to your senses. Two days later on May 13th, the North Node, Mercury, and Venus will trine Saturn in Aquarius and Jupiter moves into Pisces. Have a healthy dose of ambition! Jupiter in Pisces will help with keeping a more spiritual balance and being open to new ideas.
     
     Venus conjuncts the North Node on May 17th. This sends out some strong “I am on the right path moments, totally in alignment.”  The Sun enters Gemini on May 20th, bringing confidence and will to more of that dominant Gemini energy. Saturn may through a bit of a damper when he stations retrograde on May 23rd at 13°, sparking up more energy of the separating Saturn-Uranus square we experienced on February 17th. This will add a bit more fuel to the fire, bringing up events that happened around that time frame for review.
 
     To increase this intensity, May 26th is a Full Moon and a Total South Node Lunar Eclipse at 5° Sagittarius. Hello Karma, as if Saturn was sparking you up enough? At this point in the game, we are really being pushed to release old beliefs and patterns that no longer serve us. Take the time to journal and review what some of those old beliefs are. We are all being asked to wake up on many levels to be able to contribute to humanity.
   
     Mercury and Venus are conjunct as Mercury stations retrograde at 24° in Gemini on May 29th. Be careful not to start any new projects the two days before Mercury stations retrograde. Mercury retrogrades are a good time to re-evaluate and re-view your Mercurial Gemini activities and the houses your natal Mercury and Virgo occupy. The Sun conjuncts the North Node on May 31st, adding a boost of confidence and pulling you even more towards your purpose at this time.
