How are you feeling as we approach the Full Moon of October, two days after Jupiter and Mercury stationed direct? At 10:57 a.m. EST on October 20th, the Libra Sun will be opposing the Aries Full Moon at 27°. There is a cardinal T-square with Pluto at the apex squaring the Sun-Moon opposition, demanding transformation of how and what we focus on in relationships and our emotions that hold plenty of space to balance what is necessary for ourselves and others. October’s Full Moon’s ascendant, Sagittarius, is conjunct with Venus, Juno, and the South Node, tagging along in the pursuit of happiness and truth with commitment and remembrance. History has a habit of repeating itself, and in the collective moment, the heaviness of the holocaust is looming over our heads, right down to the shielding camps being built around the world and even here in the good ol’ U.S. There can be no more transformation on the collective level unless we change ourselves on the personal level. There is a push to the focus on balancing your relationship with yourself and your relationships with others, reevaluating and purging the limitations that have been ground into your self-worth. What does make up your self-worth? Libra, in essence, is about balance, ruled by Venus, her icon the scales of balance. Venus brings in the more intellectual pursuits in Libra, balance, beauty, harmony, and justice. In Libra, Venus is willing to do whatever she needs to be nonconfrontational and keep the peace, hence the shadow side of deceitfully charming. At 27° of Libra, the Sun’s Sabian Symbol is in the reconstruction phase, “An airplane sails high in the clear sky.” This statement makes even more sense when we take a look at the Sabian Symbol for the Aries Moon. Aries, ruled by Mars, is a bit more selfish. Mars is full of fire in Aries, his masculinity in full force, impulsive, initiating, and no holds barred. He is ready for a fight and to hold his warrior status to full potential. Where Aries is in your chart speaks of your core warrior mode, followed by your Mars placement and any aspects, and of course, a little more information on where Mars is on a mission to transform whatever is necessary in his second home of Scorpio. Aries’ Sabian Symbol is in the phase of potency, “Through imagination, a lost opportunity is regained.” How appropriate! Undeterred Faith in the pursuit of one’s ideals leads to the ability to overcome the conflicts and pressure of life, transcendent realization (Libra), of both the collective and personal, pushed by Pluto’s total commitment to transcendence. There is no coincidence in life and astrology confirms this even deeper. Funny enough, the cardinal energy of the T-square is amped up by the Sun-Mars conjunction and its trine to Jupiter, who happens to rule the Ascendant of this Full Moon’s chart, Sagittarius. Jupiter is also sextile to the Moon, encouraging a mammoth amount of emotion and initiation. We are also still dealing with the Saturn-Uranus square as a major theme this year. Our feelings are pushed to adjust to the persistent revelations in our day-to-day world. The Sun-Mars’ conjunction, square Saturn, adding an air of heaviness and delays that might throw us off. Saturn’s gift though, his trine to the North Node, lifts some of this heaviness and helps to set us on course. Impulsive actions based off our emotions are quite possible at this time, the need to be aware of these planets polar energies always in the back of your mind. At 11° of Sagittarius, the Ascendant sits, honing the Sabian Symbol in the phase of Abstraction, “In the left section of an archaic temple, a lamp burns in a container shaped like a human body.” This statement refers to the necessity of balance between being in your body and your intellectual wisdom to rely on the wisdom of your body. Need I say anymore to that statement? Venus and her trine to Mercury in Libra offers opportunity for us to communicate this, the ease of ambition and discipline to set our boundaries, in our own personal lives, our families, our community, our boundaries. Venus square Neptune pushes us to evaluate our self-worth even deeper, Neptune’s conjunction to the Full Moon’s IC trine Pluto, an intense ride good or bad. For those prone to self-sabotage, (especially if you have a natal Venus square Neptune), be careful with substance abuse and addictive behaviors and this transit pushes for deep introspection of how amazing you really are. A lot of thoughts to think about and evaluate this Full Moon, as it preps us for the upcoming work of Scorpio, Eclipse Season, and Venus’ journey back through the underworld of Capricorn. The journey of growth never ending; an infinite transcendence into being who we were meant to be.
